Cascina degli Ulivi is a biodynamic farm up in the hills of Novi Ligure, 30 km south-east of Alessandria, in the Piedmont region. Stefano Bellotti started working on the family farm in 1977 when he was only 18. At the time there was just one hectare of vineyard left. Almost since the beginning Stefano has worked organically and, since 1984, he has been practising biodynamic farming. Nowadays, he has 22 hectares of vineyards, ten hectares of cereals, one hectare of vegetable garden, about a thousand fruit trees and a small herd of cows as well as poultry. A true biodiversity!
